Australian Baseball Federation Volunteering Opportunities
The Australian Baseball Federation is urgently looking for volunteers for the National Little League Championships to be held at the Alleygators Baseball Club, Gold Coast, from June 1 to 5.
There are two positions required immediately, with the remainder to commence on May 31 and finish on June 6. The immediate requirements are for people with skills in the areas of In-Event promotions; sponsorship deliverables; liaising with providers; brand management and merchandising. These two positions are located at Baseball House, Carrara and at the event site, and will run until June 6. Hours will be flexible to accommodate the volunteers.
A further 8 positions are available covering areas including administration; liaison; logistics; merchandise; traffic management; security and more. These positions are to start on May 31 and run until June 6 at the event site.
The event will bring together 280 participants, 80 team staff and over 100 supporters. It will be a fantastic opportunity to get some 'event' experience on the Gold Coast, something to look good on the CV leading up to the Commonwealth Games!
OXFAM Trailwalker Brisbane - June 14-16!
Oxfam Trailwalker Brisbane will be held 14-16 June 2013 and will see more than 400 teams walk 100km through D’Aguilar National Park to raise $1.4 million for people living in poverty.
Oxfam Trailwalker is a huge logistical exercise, and over 600+ volunteers are needed to ensure its success. Volunteers will work out on the trail, at the checkpoints, and as part of logistics crews on the day.
Volunteer Roles include: - Trail Markers and Sweep Team to walk sections of the trail; Trail Marshals to encourage and guide walkers along the route; Checkpoint Coordinators and Checkpoint Support; Parking Marshals; Allied Health volunteers, in the disciplines of podiatry, physiotherapy and sports massage. And many more event safety and logistic roles throughout the weekend.
All you need is energy, enthusiasm and a willingness to get involved in this inspiring and life changing event.
